Legacy Lane:
OUR HISTORY, YOUR FUTURE LEGACY
The Telematic UniCampus Where your path meets the future, without barriers of time or space.
The Telematic UniCampus Where your path meets the future, without barriers of time or space.
In the beating heart of Geneva, where the waters of Lake Geneva mingle with the echo of the Swiss mountains, a dream called HETG was born. This was not just a UniCampus, but a revolutionary idea. A place where geographic and temporal barriers dissolved, giving way to a digital campus without borders. With each passing year, HETG grew, turning challenges into opportunities and welcoming students from all corners of the world. Our history is not just a chronology of dates and events, but a mosaic of the stories, dreams and aspirations of those who believed in a more inclusive and innovative vision of education. And as we look to the future, we honor our roots, knowing that each step taken so far guides us to new horizons.
In the vast landscape of education, HETG has always looked beyond the visible horizon. Our vision has never been limited by traditional classrooms or geographical boundaries. We dreamed of a world in which education was like the air we breathe: accessible to everyone, everywhere, at all times. A world where every individual, regardless of their history or circumstances, could access the keys to knowledge and transform their future. This vision has become our mission, the beacon that guides our every decision. At HETG, we see not just students, but visionaries, pioneers and innovators ready to change the world. And we are here to make sure they have all the tools to do so.

UniCampus HETG is a private university institution under Swiss law. Recognized by the Swiss national legal system, it operates freely within the Swiss Educational System by virtue of Articles 20, 27, 62, 60, 63, 63a, 64 and 69 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation (Const.), as well as Articles 30, 35, 185 and 199 of the Constitution of the Republic and Canton of Geneva (Cst-GE). By contrast, the Republic and Canton of Geneva does not regulate the scope of private institutions of higher tertiary education and adult continuing education, which, as a result, are not subject to prior authorization by the Service d'Authorisation et de Surveillance de l'Enseignement Privé(SASEP): see Règlement relatif à l'enseignement privé of the Republic and Canton of Geneva (REPriv-GE), Art. 1 § 4.
UniCampus HETG, legally constituted under Article 52 of the Swiss Civil Code, is registered in the Commercial Register of the Republic and Canton of Geneva (CH-660.6.638.023-1 - IDE: CHE-133.413.467). The name UniCampus HETG complies with the provisions of Articles 29 and 62 of the Loi fédérale sur l'encouragement des hautes écoles et la coordination dans le domaine suisse des hautes écoles (LEHE) and has been subjected to the controls provided for in the Directive interne concernant le contrôle d'identité des raisons de commerce issued on April 1, 2021 by the Département fédéral de justice et police (DFJP).
UniCampus HETG is an institution that is part of the Swiss Education Area , referred to in Article 61a of the Federal Constitution and, by virtue of this, belongs to the European Higher Education Area(EHEA).
The system of ECTS credits, levels of study, admission requirements, and degrees awarded by UniCampus HETG comply with the European Qualifications Framework, the Framework of Qualifications of the European Higher Education Area, the Cadre de qualification pour le domaine des hautes écoles (nqf.ch-HS), and the Ordonnance du Conseil des hautes écoles sur la coordination de l'enseignement dans les hautes écoles suisses. The academic degrees awarded by UniCampus HETG are not among those protected under Articles 62 and 78 LEHE; they are awarded in compliance with Article 251 of the Code pénal suisse and Article 12 of the Accord intercantonal sur le domaine suisse des hautes écoles (Concordat sur les hautes écoles).
Recognition of academic degrees earned at UniCampus HETG takes place on the basis of the national legislation of the receiving country, in accordance with international Conventions (for Europe: Lisbon Convention, Section VI: Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications) and in accordance with Treaties or Agreements between the Helvetic Confederation and individual States or Governments , as well as on the basis of the agreements entered into by the Institution with specific Institutions. The Agreement between the Swiss Federal Council and the Government of the Republic of Italy on the Mutual Recognition of Equivalences in the University Sector (December 7, 2000 - status: April 11, 2017) regulates only a part of the Institutions in the university sector of the Swiss Confederation.
The Italian Republic signed the Lisbon Convention on April 11, 1997, and subsequently ratified it by Law 148/2002, which introduced the concept of finalized recognition of foreign degrees. As a result, there is therefore no single path for the recognition of foreign academic degrees in Italy. The applicable regulations vary depending on the scope of application.
The intended purposes are basically two:
1. Academic/study
2. Non-academic/work.
For the purposes of access to Higher Education, the pursuit of university studies and the attainment of Italian university degreesfor the recognition of academic degrees obtained at UniCampus HETG, the modalities provided by Law 148/2002 and, for the PhD, by Presidential Decree 382/1980 apply. Instead, for the purposes of access to jobs and registration with the Employment Centers, participation in public competitions and related measures (scoring, career progressions, etc. ), evaluation of qualifications and certifications, access to internship or postgraduate training, allocation of scholarships or other public benefits, and redemption of study periods for social security purposes, recognition is governed by Legislative Decree 165/2001, L. 148/2002 and 29/2006, and Presidential Decree 189/2009.
