Master's degree in History of Dance, Music and Theater
The Master's Degree in History of Dance, Music and Theater reviews the entire history of Dance, Music and Theater, presenting the student with a comprehensive picture of these arts, their development through the centuries, their socio-cultural impact in both their original and later eras, and introducing him/her to the critical methods of art-historical analysis. Successful completion of this degree program will result in 120 ECTS.
Modules and content
Upon completion of the Master's Degree in the History of Dance, Music and Theater, the student will have developed those analytical skills, combined with autonomous and independent critical thinking, that will enable him or her to critically address the subjects under study by emphasizing their communicative and cultural value grafted within the historical context of reference, with special attention to the works of the 21st century and their value in charting the course for the future evolution of these arts, and will lead him or her to master the languages of each medium, enabling him or her to make stylistic judgments supported by solid technical, historical and cultural knowledge.
