Master's Degree in Economic-Political Demography
The Master's Degree Course in Social Sciences with a focus on “Economic-Political Demography” trains the student in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data pertaining to specific human populations subdivided by classification criteria ranging from economic indicators to ethnic, gender and cultural indicators, also covering some health aspects. Successful completion of this degree program requires the attainment of 120 ECTS.
Modules and content
Upon completion of the B.A. in Economic-Political Demography course, the student will be able to describe demographic changes around the world and their main determinants, apply demographic concepts and population theories to explain population characteristics in the past and present, evaluate the use of demographic concepts and population theories to understand contemporary socioeconomic issues, and assess the relationship between demographic change and policy.
