UNICAMPUS HETG's Ph.D. in Cybersecurity is designed to give its students a comprehensive and advanced background in protecting the databases and information infrastructures of companies and public agencies from cyberattacks. As cloud-based software and smart working continue to expand, the defense capabilities of public and private companies around the world are being put to the test. Defending against increasingly sophisticated attacks such as Dos, MitM, and Malware attacks requires a significant set of technologies and procedures, but most importantly, Specialists with excellent technical, legal, and organizational knowledge are needed to narrow the gap between basic and available cybersecurity skills. In the last decade the field of cybersecurity in “Cybersecurity” has expanded significantly, as it is true that the workforce has not grown adequately in fact the number of skilled and qualified technicians is not sufficient to meet the demand of domestic and international markets.
Modules and content
The main objective of the Ph.D. UNICAMPUS HETG is to train a new generation of scholars and future specialists, who can support citizens, public institutions and enterprises from cyber attacks, so as to properly implement and develop procedures to safeguard digital infrastructure, more secure and reliable.
UNICAMPUS HETG's Ph.D. offers an excellent training path the students, who will learn to deal with cybersecurity problems from different perspectives, within a group of experts in the field implemented by the other skills from specialists of other branches. Students will have the opportunity to deal with real cases from both the private and public sectors. Upon completion of the Ph.D., students will be able to address the increasing complexity of cyber attacks through an approach that encompasses technological, economic, human, social and legal aspects.
